Richard Powell

Co-Founder
Richard has in-depth knowledge of the future of Air Traffic Control and Airport operations having managed award-winning European Research (SESAR) and operational projects for World renowned organizations such as Eurocontrol, NATS (UK), Belgocontrol (Belgium) and DSNA (France) since 1993.
Richard is currently managing a large Airspace Design change for Thailand, bringing in the latest concepts to support Airline and Airport demand up to 2035. By using innovative techniques, Richard knows how to deliver outstanding results for aviation businesses worldwide.

Hamish Davidson

Senior Advisor
Hamish has been in the industry for the past 30 years, holding positions as CEO, COO and board member in various airlines in Europe, Africa and the Americas. Over the years he has been involved in over 30 startups and restructuring projects, and due diligence exercises. He specializes in airline strategy, fleet management, aircraft leasing, airline finance and process improvement. At present he is consulting on various projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Chakib Ziani-Cherif

Founder
Chakib has first-hand knowledge of Canadian, Caribbean and West African commercial aviation, as Captain (Jazz, Sunrise Airways, Senegal Airlines, the Ivory Coast Government…) and as Ops manager in several airlines with experience in various air services: VIP, Military, Medevac and Regional Airlines.
Having started off as an advertising executive during 10 years in advertising agencies and marketing companies, Chakib brings innovative marketing techniques and airline expertise to WestAF.

Ousmane Niang

Co-Founder
Ousmane Niang has been an airport director of Cap Skirring, managing airport operations including security and safety aspects. He also has an extended experience in Air Traffic Control acquired when he was department manager at ASECNA (Agency for the safety of air navigation in Africa and Madagascar).
As one who knows thoroughly the West African airspace routes and the civil aviation ‘value chain’ and has maintained close relationships in the region with all DGACs, Ousmane will be a key player in WestAF’s success.
